The Bees were many peoples pre-season tips for promotion, but they’ve struggled so far and find themselves languishing at the bottom of the table.
John Still spoke after the game about how he had no qualms about the performance and it was poor finishing that cost his side again.
“It’s a poor day at the office,” Still told the club’s official video service.
“Football is a strange game because I don’t think anyone here would disagree that for an hour, we were the better team.
"We had enough opportunities I thought to get strikes at goal and to score, which we didn’t take.
“I was quite comfortable with our general game, but you can’t lose 3-0 at home and be happy.

He added, “We cannot look back at that [performance] with any sort of hope of achieving something that we’d like to do if we’re not more clinical.
“Until they [Ebbsfleet] scored, I couldn’t see them scoring. I thought some of our movement and passing was the best it’s been but that’s all immaterial when you concede goals and don’t take your opportunities.
“I thought we looked the better team and I thought we were in the ascendency. But this is football and it’s about winning games.”
