Bees Are Lacking Cutting Edge But That's All Says Currie

Darren Curries believes his Barnet side have only been lacking a cutting edge to their recent performances.

They face Harrogate tonight and he needs his attackers to find their shooting boots again.

The Bees have won just one league game in 2019 and currently sit just one place above the drop-zone - although they do have four games in hand over teams around them.

Saturday's goalless draw with Hartlepool at the Hive saw the hosts squander a number of chances to win the game, something Currie says is becoming all too familiar.

"The performance again was more than acceptable," he told the club's video service.

"I’m just on repeat aren’t I. We’ve got to be ruthless and have that cutting edge that we haven’t got at the minute which is frustrating for everyone.

"We do a hell of a lot of work on attacking and final third play because that’s how I played the game and decision making is crucial in every part of the pitch.

"But at the minute, some of our crosses are hitting the first man and we have shots blocked and crosses blocked.

"It’s frustrating because there’s so many passages of good play that get us to the final third and then it’s just that final decision making and that bit of magic you need and we didn’t have it today."
