BBC 'Final Score' To Show Seven National League Clubs

By David Richardson

Seven Vanarama National League sides involved in today's FA Cup first round ties will be part of the BBC's LIVE Final Score programme.

One of last season's stars of the competition, Sutton United, will be shown when they travel to League Two side Cambridge United. Paul Doswell's men upset Cheltenham Town, AFC Wimbledon and Leeds United to setup a fifth round tie at home to Arsenal last time out.

The BBC cameras will also be at Sutton's National League rivals Guiseley, who welcome Accrington Stanley, of League Two, to Nethermoor Park.

Maidenhead United manager Alan Devonshire won the competition in 1980 with West Ham, now he takes his side to Coventry City, winners in 1987.

Woking are the fourth National League club to be selected for their fixture at home to League One side Bury. The Cards scored a 118th minute winner in their fourth qualifying round replay against Concord Rangers to advance.

Solihull Moors host League Two's Wycombe Wanderers at Damson Park after seeing off Ossett Town.

Two National League South sides will also feature. Leaders Truro City made club history by reaching the first round, the furthest they've ever been in the competition, while also becoming the first Cornish side to reach this stage since 1969. They head to Charlton Athletic, of League One.

Dartford's home tie against League Two club Swindon Town will also have the BBC cameras in attendance. A 1-0 win at Burgess Hill Town was enough for Tony Burman's team to advance.
