Bath Hope Gesture Will Get Their Roman Army To Welling

Bath City have made a fine gesture to their fans ahead of their trip to Welling this Saturday.

The Romans' have announced subsidised travel for any fan wishing to make the 151-mile journey to Kent.

With both sides pushing for a play-off place, the club will be hoping travelling fans can give them a boost against the Wings who have lost just twice at home all season.

"Thanks to a generous donation from the football club, the Supporters Club will be running a large coach to Welling United with reduced fares," the supporters club announced on their website.

"We are very grateful to the club for this kind gesture."

Manager Jerry Gill acknowledged the announcement and took to Twitter to encourage fans to make the trip.

"After discussions with the club they have kindly made a donation which now reduces the cost of travel for this Saturday's game at Welling," he wrote.

"Over to you guys now to fill the coach so we have a big following and vocal support."

The Romans are unbeaten in their last seven outings but have drawn their last three games.
