The impressive Romans moved up into third place after a conclusive 3-1 win in Surrey.
Gill said it was one of the club’s best performances of the season - and maybe even in his year-long tenure.
He was thrilled too that his side got over their FA Cup frustration having gone out to Weston-super-Mare seven days before. They missed out on a home first round tie with Wrexham.
What a difference a week makes and Gill said: “It was a statement from us in a lot of ways.
“I told them before the match by winning against Woking people will take notice and the boys were fantastic.
“We blew them away in the first half and were very professional in the second, I’m delighted with the win.
“We put last week to bed and I’ve got to say how pleased I am. We worked very hard.”
Next for Bath it’s a game with Truro which Gill fears will be more demanding after their Saturday win over Dartford.
