Saturday’s draw with Leyton Orient proved the Bluebirds have fighting spirit in abundance but that hasn’t added up to three points for a while.
Moore, who replaced Paul Cox at Holker Street, says he is seeing enough from his players to suggest things are improving.
Victory against Boreham Wood last month is the only one they have had since the third game of the season and the manager knows it could have been put to bed on Saturday.
“I’ve got a belief in the process and the players. I wouldn’t have thought that any supporter would question the work ethic, we just need that rub of the green to get the win,” he told the North West News and Mail and the 2-2 draw on Saturday.
“They’re a great bunch. It’s my job to give them confidence and keep them believing.
“Hopefully, that will then spread across to the supporters, they will see what we are trying to do. I think we’re a gnat’s whisker away from getting a win and then going on a run.
“It is mixed emotions at the moment,” he told the Mail. “I’m proud of the players in terms of their effort, their desire, their commitment, their never-say-die attitude. To go 1-0 down, make it 1-1, go 2-1 down, make it 2-2.
“It has stopped the run of defeats. We have been playing well, but we didn’t get the rub of the green.”
Next of course it’s the FA Cup. Moore takes his team to Evo-Stik NPL Premier form guys Shaw Lane. He will know they will fancy their chances.
