The tame 0-0 draw at Gander Green Lane lacked excitement - and both teams lacked a cutting edge.
The Bees are cup specialists this season and welcome Fylde with an FA Trophy semi final place at stake.
He thinks the team can rise to the occasion - just like they did in the FA Cup this term.
“We have had two really difficult games against two strong sides in a short space of time,” manager Currie told the club’s video service.
“On Saturday at Solihull the leaders then straight to Sutton who are in and around the play-off places - and we haven’t been beaten in either game.
“There wasn’t too much quality on show from either team (on Tuesday) really. Neither side really got going.
“It always seemed like a game which would be decided by one goal but it never came. We nearly won it at the end but it wasn’t to be.
“The clean sheet is a bonus but we’re looking to win games - we need to win games.”
On the weekend challenge, he added: “We do think we’ve got goals in us. We now have AFC Fylde on Saturday who scored six goals tonight and ten over two games in the last round of the Trophy.
“There’s a semi-final place at stake and I expect more of a football match for that one.
“We’ll be up for it and it should be a great occasion.”
