The club called upon their supporters to help them deal with an issue they’ve been having with foxes on the pitch at Brisbane Road.
Orient wrote on their official website: “The club are looking for a local O’s supporter who is able to walk their male dog around the O’s pitch during mornings and late afternoons this week.
“The Club have been having issues with foxes entering the playing surface at night and it is thought a dog’s presence will help prevent further pitch invasions,” the club added.
It’s clear that despite Orient’s decent pre-season form – Justin Edinburgh feels his team need more bite if they are to be crowned the National League’s ‘best in show’ come May.
Leyton Orient begin the season with a real dog-fight on – they play Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium in front of the BT Sport cameras on August 4.
