Bank Holiday Special: 10 Top National League Attendances

There were some big games from Good Friday up til last night in the Vanarama National League, but which games attracted the biggest crowds?

While the weather put pay to some matches, there were still 44 games that happened during these days, writes Tom Feaheny.

The biggest attendance in all three leagues took place on Easter Monday when Wrexham taking on Boreham Wood had over 4500 in attendance, this was an important game for two sides aiming for promotion from the Vanarama National League.

The team top of the table in the Vanarama National League are Macclesfield Town, they are alongside one other team in having both their games in this table with nearly 3000 seeing them defeat Chester on Easter Monday and over 2000 seeing the dramatic scenes on Good Friday as they won with moments to go at Woking.

There are two Vanarama National League North matches in the top ten with last night's Stockport County V Tamworth and Easter Saturday's York City V Chorley both having over 2700 supporters in attendance.

The other side who are in this twice are Hartlepool United with their last-gasp home defeat against Guiseley having 2634 at Victoria Park, while over 2500 were present at Maidstone United's Gallagher Stadium on Good Friday.

The remaining three games featured home sides going for promotion in Aldershot Town's game against Eastleigh, AFC Fylde taking on FC Halifax Town and also the game that was live on BT Sport on Easter Monday in Sutton United V Bromley, with all three games having over 2000 there.
