Azeez Remains With Dover - Essuman Heads Out

Dover Athletic have extended the loan spell of striker Ade Azeez from SkyBet League Two side Cambridge United until the end of the season.

The former Charlton Athletic and AFC Wimbledon hitman joined Cambridge from Scottish Premiership side Partick Thistle on a two-year deal last July and made sixteen appearances for the League Two outfit.

He managed 3 goals in forty-six appearances during his one season with the Jags - one of his goals coming in a 1-1 draw against champions Celtic.

Azeez's most productive spell came at AFC Wimbledon where he scored 14 goals in in ninety-eight games, helping them win promotion to League One in 2016.

He had begun his Charlton at the age of 14 and progressed through the ranks before signing a professional contract in the summer of 2011

Before leaving The Valley he had loan spells with Wycombe, Leyton Orient, Torquay United and Dagenham & Redbridge.

He also won three England under-19s caps.

The 24-year-old has made four appearances for Whites since making the move to Crabble last month.

Meanwhile, defender George Essuman (pictured) has re-joined Bostik League Premier neighbours Margate until the end of the season

The 21-year-old centre-half, who has made one substitute appearance for Chris Kinnear’s side in the National League this season, has already spent a month with Gate.
