Awesome Arthur Is Truro City’s True Inspiration

Arthur Parson has won Volunteer of the Month for Truro City in the Vanarama National League South.

Arthur, despite being in his late seventies and having to deal with a serious illness, has continued to maintain the pitch and stadium to a very high standard.

Even when the club had to vacate Treyew Road in the summer, Arthur ensured the ground was in tip-top condition on the chance they may be able to return.

On match days, he is the driver of the supporters’ club minibus to matches at Torquay United’s Plainmoor - a round-trip of 200 miles - and to the club’s away games, which are some of the longest journeys in the National League.
