The manager took positives from the match that no one will miss any of the season due to the game, with him admitting players had to miss out because of Town's 3G surface.
"Obviously you don't want to be going into the season on the back of a poor performance but I must say that the priority was to give a few more players some minutes on the pitch.
"We needed to try and get through the game without getting injuries and there were a couple of players who couldn't play on the surface.
