Armstrong Wants To Continue Impressive Run

Blyth Spartans are aiming to continue their fine run in the Vanarama National League North with Alun Armstrong pleased with how his side have started the season.

Blyth travel to Brackley Town after they put in a good performance and left with all three points, causing Stockport to lose at home for the first time in the league since December, last weekend, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We have a great group giving us everything, to be where we are is beyond where anyone expected," said Armstrong to the Blyth Spartans official website.

"It is a something special for me personally and the lads as well, we are showing a real desire not to lose, we defend ever so well.

"We react and that is key, we have been in games that could have gone either way, it leaves us open at times, it was nice to see us counter attacking against Stockport and we know we can do that more."
