Armstrong Calls Performance Unacceptable

After his side lost 1-0 at home to North Ferriby United, the Spartans boss admitted he wanted an improvement.

The Blyth Spartans boss Alun Armstrong saw his side lose after winning their previous two matches, writes Tom Feaheny.

Speaking to Blyth Spartans official website after they were defeated by Steve Housham's side.

"I can't accept that performance, we totally lacked everything that we had shown in the four games prior, we just were not at the races

He added: "The fans pay their money and we just didn't give them that performance, we missed an opportunity to get into the top half of the league."

When looking at how the side can improve in the next matches, Armstrong said they need to change certain aspects of their game based on this performance.

"We have to be braver to get onto the ball get into those tight areas, simply too many people had an off-day for the club in that game."

They next face Curzon Ashton away from home next Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways and break into the top ten in the Vanarama National League North.
