Ammies Take Swedish Under-21 International Keeper On Loan

With goalkeeper Max Crocombe selected for the New Zealand international squad, Salford City have taken Swedish under-21 Tim Erlandsson on a month`s loan from SkyBet Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Crocombe, who has been in outstanding form for the Ammies, has been chosen for the international friendly with Canada in Spain on March 24th, which means he will miss the game at Kdderminster Harriers.

Erlandsson initially signed on loan for Forest in 2014 from Halmstads BK, playing a key role in a successful under-18 side.

His move was made permanent in June 2015, putting pen-to-paper on a three-year contract.

He enjoyed a taste of first-team football in two separate loan spells in 2016/17.

Erlandsson, who has represented Sweden at under-17, 19 and under-21 level, played for National League side Barrow AFC at the back end of 2016, helping them in their run to the Emirates FA Cup Third Round and playing a starring role in the 2-1 win at League One side Bristol Rovers in the Second Round.

A loan spell back in his native Sweden followed at the start of 2017 as he featured for top flight side AFC Eskilstuna.

He has yet to feature for the Forest first-team.
