Of course the Premier League and Football League transfer window is open for business but National League clubs don’t have to operate within the January restrictions.
The rules of course apply to those players dropping down but Alexander doesn’t appear to be in a hurry.
The Salford manager was speaking after the club’s emphatic 3-0 win at leaders Leyton Orient on Saturday.
It was a result which really closed things up at the top of the table.
He told us: “We’re happy with what we’ve got, there’s no plans.
“We aren’t forced to operate under under the same deadlines as the EFL clubs so from our point of view there’s nothing about to happen.”
On the weekend victory, he said: “I don’t think we ever thought about coming here and scoring two goals so early, certainly not about winning 3-0.
“After the recent poor run of form to beat Wrexham and then win away at Leyton Orient, it’s fantastic.
“I don’t think it sends out any kind of a message. We had to answer a couple of questions more than anything - we’ve done that I think.”
