All You Need Is Love! Fenwick Packs His Bags For Essex

Chelmsford City has re-signed striker Scott Fenwick - and they have love to thank!

The forward ended the season on loan at the National League South club and scored 11 goals in the last two months.

Rod Stringer tried to get him to commit to the club but the north east based striker had a big decision to make.

He has decided to return south with his girlfriend living in Essex and romance means great news for the Clarets.

Before getting the deal done, Stringer told us last week: “He lives in the north east but his girlfriend is based not far from Chelmsford. That’s why he came here in the first place.

“He’s got a decision to make. If they go for it and he moves down south then he’s said we would be the club he signs for and that’s great.

“With a bit of luck true love might blossom! He’s got some offers from up north too, so we’ll see what happens.”

City have had a positive close season with Sutton goalkeeper Ross Worner, Billericay defender Rob Swaine and midfielder Jai Reason just some of the players putting pen to paper.
