All Tuesday Night's National League And FA Trophy Action

By Sam Elliott

In the end only three of Tuesday night’s fixtures survived a substantial soaking as the heavens opened.

Plenty of postponements handed out much frustration around the country leaving us with just a handful of matches after some wasted trips.

The only league game to survive was in the National League South and both may be left wondering what if.

Maidstone United and Hemel Hempstead drew 1-1 on the Gallagher Stadium’s 3G - and both clubs sit four points outside the top seven.

George Elokobi timed his first goal for the club perfectly to grab a point after in-form Sam Ashford’s free-kick put the Tudors in front.

With the National League North a wash-out and AFC Fylde v Notts County off, it was down to the FA Trophy to produce some stories.

Dorking Wanderers didn’t let anyone down as they stunned Stockport County 4-0 at Edgeley Park.

A second-half double from Matt Briggs put the seal on one of the best ever results in the history of the club formed only back in 1999.

They were put on their way by James McShane before Niall McManus made it 2-0. There was no stopping Marc White’s side who now fancy their Wembley chances.

Leamington are into the last 16 and face either Bath City or Concord Rangers next after Jack Edwards’ superb goal saw off Kingstonian.

National League South result:
Maidstone United 1-1 Hemel Hempstead

FA Trophy fixtures:
Leamington 1-0 Kingstonian
Stockport County 0-4 Dorking W
