All Tuesday Night’s Action Across The Three Divisions

By Sam Elliott

Tuesday night produced plenty of headlines with important matches across the three divisions.

There was only one game in the National League - and an important result was secured.

Wrexham won away for the first time this season and it lifted them off the bottom of the league. It was the Spitfires’ only loss at the Silverlake since August.

Their 2-0 success at Eastleigh was sealed thanks to Omari Patrick’a deadly double - and the Dragons are now up to 21st.

There was movement at the bottom of the National League South as well.

Hungerford beat Tonbridge 1-0 to climb out of the bottom two - and they sent the Angels back below the dotted line in the process.

York City missed the chance to go top as Hereford bit back at Edgar Street. The Minstermen recovered from going 2-1 down as Jordan Burrow levelled up ten minutes from the end.

York manager Steve Watson said: "We created loads tonight and worked the 'keeper which is what we have been missing for a lot of the games."

In-form Lee Ndlovu made it four goals in two games as Brackley pinched a late, late 1-1 draw at Farsley.

Jordan Preston’s goal gave Gateshead a point at Kidderminster, 1-1 it finished at Aggborough.

Leamington have now taken ten points from four games following their comprehensive 3-0 win over Darlington.

George Carline got the goal of the game for the in-form Brakes.
