All Saturday’s National League North Action

By Sam Elliott

New life was breathed into the National League North title race on the day two long standing unbeaten home runs came to an end.

Leaders King’s Lynn lost at home for the first time since September 2018 as Kidderminster threw a spanner in the works with a 2-0 win at the Walks.

York City took full advantage - a 4-2 win over Chester was secured with two Kurt Willoughby goals and one each from Sean Newton and Kieran Green.

Brackley Town fans will also struggled to remember the last time they lost a home game but Farsley Celtic brought them down to earth with a 1-0 at St James Park.

Player-manager Mike Williamson scored as he helped inspire Gateshead to a 4-2 win over Leamington.

Boston United won for a fourth time in a row - they are on top of the form guide after adding to Blyth Spartans woes with a 1-0 win.

Gloucester City lost for a fifth time in a row as Spennymoor earned a 2-1 win as Glen Taylor scored an historic 100th goal for the club.

Alfreton have eight goals in two games - Billy Heath’s Reds 2-0 winners over Hereford, who can’t climb away from trouble.

Guiseley are hovering just outside the play-off places and they showed just how good they are with a classy 3-0 win over Darlington.

There was a thriller as Southport and Bradford PA drew 3-3, and there was plenty of entertainment in AFC Telford’s 2-2 draw with Altrincham.

Kettering and Curzon Ashton fans didn’t see a single goal as both teams fired blanks.
