All Of Tuesday’s National League And FA Cup Action

By Sam Elliott

There was National League North and South action as well as FA Cup entertainment on a busy night on three fronts.

In-form St Albans City suffered a rare home loss after thinking they had done enough to rescue the game against Dulwich Hamlet.

But the south east Londoners had other ideas as Chike Kandi bagged his second of the game late on to stun the high-flying Saints at Clarence Park.

The brilliant win moves Dulwich above them into second after a third win on the bounce.

Also in the National League South, Hampton & Richmond’s wretched run at Bath City is over - they earned a well deserved 3-1 win at Twerton Park.

Niko Muir, Jake Gray and Jorome Slew did the damage in Somerset to lift the Beavers up into tenth, pictured.

In the National League North, Chorley kept the heat on the top two.

A 3-1 win over Kettering Town was secured with a Connor Hall double.

Hereford won again to add to Blyth Spartans issues.

They eased to a 2-0 win - Ryan McLean and Dan Smith scored at Edgar Street.

There were plenty of FA Cup talking points on an eventful evening.

Notts County were left heartbroken after League Two Rochdale dined them at the deal.

A Jake Beesley effort late on handed Dale a 2-1 win after the Magpies pulled it back.

But it was great news late on for Gateshead who stunned Altrincham to cause an upset.

Macaulay Langstaff’s 91st minute winner helped the National League North club to earn them a big game against Charlton Athletic.

It wasn’t to be for Solihull Moors, Neal Ardley’s side bowed out in extra time to 2013 winners Wigan Athletic.

Adam Rooney fired the hosts ahead but Wigan showed their quality after that, a header from Callum Lang enough to send the Latics through.

Stockport County look to join them in the second round - Dave Challinor’s team welcome Bolton Wanderers in their replay on Wednesday.
