All Action! There's So Much Football In Store This Evening

By Sam Elliott

There's a busy night ahead with National League, National League North, National League South and FA Trophy action in front of us.

There may only be one game in the National League this evening but it could have huge implications at both ends of the table.

Solihull Moors will go top and earn a two-point lead if they win at struggling Aldershot.

Can Gary Waddock’s side turn the formbook upside down? Moors have lost one of their last eight away from home while the Shots haven’t tasted victory since November 3 - 16 long games ago.

Torquay United fancy their chances of being a part of that league next season.

They take their National League South title charge to Hemel Hempstead this evening and a win for Gary Johnson’s team will stretch their lead over Woking to four points.

Welling United are clinging onto the final play-off place but the sides below them are-eyeing up their spot in the top seven.

The Wings will send out a message to those hungry clubs if they can win at Oxford City, who have yet to win in six league games in 2019.

Gloucester City are second from bottom but they aren’t adrift. If they can win at Slough Town they will draw themselves level with Hungerford - the team on the other side of the relegation-zone.

How will National League North leaders Chorley react to have five goals put past them at Southport?

The Magpies welcome troublesome Brackley Town, while AFC Telford look to get their play-off push back on a firm footing with three home points against Guiseley.

There FA Trophy quarter final draw will be completed tonight all things being well.

After their 5-5 thriller last Tuesday, can AFC Fylde finally put plucky Step 4 side Ramsbottom United in their place tonight?

There was another thriller - Barnet and Carshalton Athletic drew 3-3 in their first meeting. Can the Bees do the business a week after their FA Cup adventure came to an end?

Salford City are four without a win in all competitions and they can get on Wembley way if they win at Maidstone United.
