The manager cut a frustrated figure after letting a lead slip to lose 3-1 to struggling Dover Athletic on Saturday.
The Ammies’ title charge has hit the buffers since winning at leaders Leyton Orient in January.
Since that fantastic 3-0 success, the pre-season title favourites have drawn with Gateshead and FC Halifax and lost to bottom side Braintree and now Dover.
They also exited the FA Trophy last Tuesday at Maidstone.
Salford current sit seven points off the pace and play Eastleigh this weekend.
Not even the presence of new owner David Beckham could inspire them on Saturday - and the manager wasn’t pleased.
In an interview with BT Sport, manager Alexander let his players know in no uncertain terms what is expected of them.
“The time for talking is finished. I don’t want to hear what we might do any more,” he said.
“All we are looking for is actions now. I don’t want to here any conversations about what may happen in the future, it’s about now.”
He added: “We need to see a reaction as we are entering a crucial stage of the season.”
