Ainsley: Second-Half Improvements Helped By Fitness

Spennymoor Town boss Jason Ainsley said they were rewarded for the hard hours they put in during pre-season as they fitness once again got them a result.

A 3-1 win meant they did the double over Blyth Spartans after coming back from behind, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We came to life in the second-half, we showed the fitness levels we have we got stronger as the game went on," Ainsley told the club's website.

"We could have scored a few more as the game went on, but we saw the game out I was delighted with that, if they had got it to 3-2 we would have got deeper.

"The squad we have is a testament to getting two wins over a good Blyth side it sets us up nicely.

"There were a lot of good performances by the side and I credit them all."
