Ainsley Knows Importance Of Planning For Next Season

There is still plenty to play for at Spennymoor Town this campaign but the club are already making important moves for next season.

For a team who have had a fine couple of seasons, this weekend it was announced six Spennymoor Town players had been given contract extensions, writes Tom Feaheny.

Town who could be in the Vanarama National League next season and are also in a quarter final FA Trophy replay, know the importance of this current group.

"It’s a crucial point of the season and we wanted to reward the lads who’ve done the business for us," Ainsley told the club's website.

“We want them to enjoy their time at the club and we think that’s the case considering they all signed very quickly after being made their offers."

The six players are Mark Anderson, Jamie Chandler, James Curtis, Andrew Johnson, Robert Ramshaw and Shane Henry have all committed their futures to The Moors.
