A Fine Christmas Present! Greaves Full Of Seasonal Joy

Tom Greaves believes FC United’s incredible comeback at Spennymoor wasn’t just a Christmas miracle - his players are showing what they are all about!

The National League North game of that day was a pre Christmas treat for Red Rebels players and their fans.

Trailing 4-1 away to a side firmly in the play-off places, they came back to secure a 4-4 draw.

Player manager Greaves has enjoyed a great start to life in the dug out and his relationship with the United supporters is growing by the week.

“When you have a team with a never say die attitude you always have a chance,” the FC United boss posted.

“These boys are not just playing for me they are playing for each other, the staff, the fans and themselves! At 4-1 down you give yourself a mountain to climb but we climbed another one today and claimed a great away point!

“We’ve had some great results recently but we all have our feet firmly on the floor and we know we have some tough battles coming up from now through to May.

“Yes we will make mistakes but we will always give 110% for 90+ minutes.”

United now face a real test of their improvement - home and away matches against leaders Salford City over Christmas.
