The Red Dragons’ annual festive raffle has the potential to make £60,000 for the Vanarama National League club.
It’s been confirmed that all cash raise from the supporter-run venture will be make available to manager Dean Keates to spend enhancing the squad.
The Build The Budget campaign is aimed at ending the club’s exile from the Football League - and, unsurprisingly, it has the full support of the manager.
Keates badly wants a striker to boost their promotion hopes and the Supporters Trust are right behind the boss.
“As a Welsh club we are the only club at National League Level to be subject to the international transfer window,” the said.
“In this crucial upcoming January period we are planning to maximise the amount of funds we can make available to Dean to push on in the second half of the season.
“With this in mind the Wrexham Supporters Trust Board has agreed that all proceeds from this years’ Christmas raffle will go directly to ‘Build The Budget’ as part of this effort.
“We have decided on this approach as, with Christmas approaching and the pressures that come with this time of year, we think this is a better way to impact BTB rather than raise an appeal for contributions to the fund at the same time.”
The raffle has some fantastic prizes - including a Caribbean cruise.
They say it’s a ‘£60,000 opportunity’ and gave more details for members.
“We urge supporters to help us make this Christmas Raffle the biggest in our history and in this way each and every one of us can have a direct impact on our January planning.
“Each member will receive 2 books of 10 tickets (20 tickets in total) which are £1 a ticket. Should each of us manage to sell our tickets that is a £60,000+ opportunity!”
