The former Shaymen boss has made his fourth summer signing as he looks to get the Reds challenging for promotion.
Goalkeeper Tom Nicholson has followed striker Tom Denton from the Shay - and like the big forward, the pair know each other well.
Nicholson was also at North Ferriby United when Heath was in charge of the Villagers.
He thinks the signing will add competition for places at the Impact Arena.
“Tom is another great addition to our side and we are delighted to have him at the club,” he told the club’s website.
“He has often been a number two at previous clubs and was largely in that role for Halifax last season but he brings experience to us.
“He’s been at a great level for a while now and he joins us wanting to compete, he’s an excellent lad to have in the changing rooms and around the club.
“He will not only provide competition for Ross but also help him and provide that experience that will help us in all departments.”
