Bower Has Belief But Knows Financial Gap Is Getting Bigger

Mark Bower feels just being able to compete with tonight’s opponents Spennymoor is something which should give his club pride.

Bradford PA face the Moors this evening in the only game in the National League North.

Jason Ainsley’s aids are third and going for the title while Avenue are well placed in fifth.

Bower thinks his club are doing tremendously well considering the restrictions they are working under.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: “They’re a really good side. They’re well backed and they’ve signed some really good players.

“They took our top scorer in the summer and paid a decent fee for him - and he’s barely played in their team so it just shows how strong they are.

“Not just the starting 11 but the strength that they’ve got in depth.

“Their expectation with the squad that they’ve got should be promotion, maybe ours should be slightly different to that.

“So for us to be up there challenging with them is something that we’re very proud of.

“Hopefully we can show that again when we compete with them and hopefully we can get a result.”
